The new Volvo V40 – revealed at Geneva in March – will cost from £19,745 when it arrives in the UK. Despite being an almost run-of-the-mill car launch, the new Volvo V40 struck a real chord at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. 2013 is Aston Martin’s centenary, and as you’d expect there’s lots of ’100 Years of Aston Martin’ events going on, including the first hydrogen powered Rapide at this weekend’s Nurburgring 24hr. But that’s not all there will be at the Nurburgring tomorrow from AML. The Aston Martin CC100 centenary special edition – an open roadster recalling the legendary DBR1 – is due to be unveiled tomorrow (19th May 2013) and Aston Martin have revealed a tease buried in a new video – ‘Aston Martin Past, Present and Future’ (below).
Hyundai invited Car Design News for an exclusive sneak preview of the all-new i30 last week, ahead of its global debut at the Frankfurt motor show today. The event was held in Frankfurt's renowned Cocoon Club (the venue will also play host to this year's Interior Motives Awards, which takes place this coming Wednesday night), and was chosen because of its interior décor – something Hyundai's European Design Chief, Thomas Buerkle, likened to the Korean company's 'Fluidic Sculpture' design language. "We have been inspired by nature and beautiful shapes," Buerkle told the audience of journalists at the launch.
